Carole Dutterer and Carly Dutterer Identified as 2 Killed in Union Township Crash on Hanover Road (Route 116) at Littlestown Road

Union Township, Pennsylvania (May 26, 2020) – The Adams County Coroner’s Office has identified the two people who died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Union Township as Carole J. Dutterer, 68, and Carly J. Dutterer.

The fatal crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23 on Hanover Road at Littlestown Road. Hanover Road is also known as Route 116.

According to police, Carole Dutterer was driving northbound on Littlestown Road when she drove through the intersection with Route 116 and her car was hit by a truck that was traveling westbound.

Carole Dutterer and her front-seat passenger, Carly Dutterer, were pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger in the car survived, authorities said.

The truck driver was identified as Matthew P. Dahler, 26.

The accident remains under investigation.
